OC Watersheds Coastal Coalition
The County of Orange developed the Orange County Coastal Coalition as a means to
coordinate and share information related to the coast. The Orange County Coastal
Coalition is an association of local, regional, state and federal agencies, non-profit
organizations, private industry and the public whose role is to advocate, educate
and coordinate activities along the Orange County coast.

- Annual H2O Conference May 10-13, Long Beach Hilton:
For the past ten years or so, the H2O Conference has been held the last week of
October. Due to an increase in conferences taking place in the fall, the H2O Conference
organizing committee has decided to hold future conferences in May.
This year’s conference will be held May 10-13 at the Long Beach Hilton. Call for
presentations and information about hotel reservations to follow.
- State’s “California and the World Oceans Conference” (CWO) Sep 7-10, San Francisco.
No website yet, click here for information about the 2006 conference.
The state holds this conference every five years. CalCoast and other H2O Conference
organizers have been asked to create an “H2O” track during CWO. We will want to
incorporate regional groups like the Orange County Coastal Coalition, the SANDAG
Shoreline Preservation Workgroup, etc. More information to follow.
