In Orange County there are 42 miles of beach that are just as beautiful as this one, located adjacent to Dana Point Harbor, just below where we are sitting today.We also have 13 watersheds with significant topographical and developmental differences that interact with our coastline. Along with these important resources, comes the responsibility for effective sediment management. Unfortunately, this great sunrise is tainted by a sign in the foreground advising that the bacteriological standards for safe human contact have been exceeded.
